Understanding Your Data

The Sources page

When an AI model answers a question, it often cites or links to specific web pages it used to form its answer. The Sources page shows you exactly which sites those are across all of your tracked prompts.

What is on this page

  • Your site Visibility Score and recent trend, for quick reference.
  • Your rank among all brands appearing in your results.
  • Top cited domains. The websites that show up most often as sources across your tracked answers, each with a percentage share of total citations.
  • Full citation table. Every individual citation recorded, with the source title, URL, which AI platform used it, whether it was directly cited or just referenced, and the date.

Why this matters

This page answers two related questions.

Who are the trusted sources in my category? If certain publications, review sites, or forums keep showing up, that tells you where AI is currently forming its opinions, and where getting coverage or mentions could help your visibility.

Is my own site being cited? Compare your own domain share of citations against the total. Combined with the Used as a Source metric on your Dashboard, this tells you how often AI is actually reading and referencing your own content versus someone else content.

Next: Gap analysis

To see which of those sources leave your brand out, open Gap analysis in the Sources group. It ranks the websites and pages AI relies on without naming you, and shows who is named there instead. See Gap analysis.
